Biltmore Weekend

So we just got back from our trip to Biltmore with Rebekah, Philip, Aaron and Beth. We had the most wonderful weekend with some amazing friends! We started the weekend off with Pizza at Barleys in downtown Asheville. It was so yummy and a great way to start the weekend! Saturday morning we went to tour the Biltmore house really loved every minute. After that we had a wonderful lunch at the Deerpark Resturant, toured the winery and then went up to the Inn to look around. Sunday morning we went to the Grove park Inn to see the Gingerbread houses! They were amazing and I decided that next year mom needs to submit one of her gingerbread houses! After a fun trip home we got home late and were exausted! It was a wonderful weekend with wonderful friends!!

This week!

Well we made it to Friday! Robin played golf a few times this week and then played in a golf tournement today with my Dad to help raise money for the kitchen at one of my home church's summer camp. Their team won and he is on his way home now. I made it through the week with many of my students out sick and I only got bit once this week! I guess you can consider that a good week! We are getting all geared up for the game tomorrow with new rain clothing and lots of cooking! I'm not sure that I am going to be taking my camera since we are going to be sitting in the cold rain! I am excited and I know Robin is although im not sure that all are! I'm sure I will have more to say tomorrow! Thats all for now! GOOOOO PIRATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tis the season...

Well we are ready for Christmas around here! Robin and I have almost finished shopping for everyone! We only have a few more gifts to get and then we will be good to go! The Christmas season is my favorite. Robin laughs at me because I am so giddy about the music and decorations! Here is a picture of our tree this year. We went with a tall one!

We are gearing up for the Conference Championship this weekend! I am personally hoping the rain will hold off till after the game! Robin got me some rain pants today while I was at work so that was nice! We are surely hoping for a win! If we win we will go to the Liberty Bowl again for the second year in a row! I am posting one of my favorite pictures from last year! We attended to the parade on Beale Street with Philip and Rebekah!

Go Pirates!

So we had a busy Thanksgiving weekend! We started the weekend off by heading to Raleigh on Wednesday. Robin and my dad played golf and Mom and I got ready for Thursday. Thursday we went to the traditonal breakfast at church and then had lunch with my family. After lunch we headed to Grifton to eat dinner with Robin's parents. After spending time with them we headed back to our house for the night. Since one of my favorite parts of the Thanksgiving weekend is shopping on Black Friday we got up early and headed to Raleigh for me to go shopping with my mom and sister. After a long day of shopping, the whole family went to the Holiday Pops concert downtown! It was wonderful!! In keeping with our little tradition of driving up and down 264 daily we all headed back to Greenville to watch the Pirates play their last game of the season. We Won!! Yay! Which means that we get to host the Conference Championship here in Greenville next weekend!

Robin and I have our Condo all decorated! We got our tree last weekend so that we could spend today relaxing! The weather is great here today so we are off to play some Tennis!

The Last Month...

So I have been really bad at blogging since school started. Robin and I have been busy around the house trying to get everything organized. School is busy but I am having time afterschool to hang out with Robin.

Robin's golf season is over now and he only has practice twice a week with the team. I am keeping him busy at home with things that have to be done! We have been spending most of our time on the weekends at ECU football games!

I will try to be better about blogging and put more pictures up as we get closer to the holidays! I am going to be decorating for christmas this weekend and can't wait!!

Back to work...

So this past week was my first week back to school. The teacher workdays flew by and school will start on Tuesday. I could use a few more days! My classroom is full of new technology which is very exciting. We are still waiting on the Tech guys to come set up our computers so we can get on the system. It doesn't look like we are going to get them up and running by the first day of school but hopefully soon!

Robin and I got to spend all Saturday afternoon running errands together. I can't tell you the last time we had time to hang out together! It was nice to have some help looking for a coffee table even though we did not find one we liked! Last night we had dinner with Rebekah and Philip and then they came over here for chocolate pie! We have so much fun with them and are so grateful for their friendship!

This week Robin will be going to Savannah for a tournement! I wish I could go with him but my students come back Tuesday and I guess I have to figure out what to teach them!

Home/Golf/School!

Well... we got new carpet installed on Monday and Tuesday! It looks great and most importantly feels good on my feet! My mom came down Tuesday and helped me move all the stuff back. The bathrooms and laundry room were stacked full of "stuff"! We made a lot of progress but still have some left to work on!

Mom and I went out looking for a new coffee table and I ended up getting a new sofa! I got a Norwalk Red Sectional and can't wait to see what it looks like in our living room!! We never got a coffee table but now I need to go look for a different kind of coffee table! I am sure Robin just loves when mom comes shopping with me! At least we did get a great deal and Rebekah and Philip approve!

Wednesday Robin left to go do some recruting in Pinehurst and I went with Mom to the lake house. Robin met us all there to spend the night before heading to Greensboro this morning for the pre-qualifying for the PGA's Wyndham Championship. Robin made it through and will play on Monday for a spot in the tournement! We will all be watching and praying for him on Monday!

Now we are back in Greenville until Sunday when Robin will leave to head back towards Greensboro. I start back to work on Monday and have lots to do. I stopped by my classroom the other day and found it to be a mess! Robin is going to help me and a teacher that I work closely with move furniture hopefully tomorrow!! Say a prayer for next week at school as I am going to be faced with some challanges with assistants that I have not had to do before!!

We hope everyone is doing well and can't wait to have guests over to see our new furniture! Hopefully I will post pictures soon!!!

New Job's All Around!

So my biggest new job is being a wife! I have now gotten my name changed everywhere but at work. I am still working on how to sign Smith... it was harder than I thought it would be to transition! The nice man at the DMV was funny, he finally gave me the little stack of papers to sign and told me I could do it as many times as I needed to, he was there till 4:30! So since in my mind all the big things I have been doing the last year are over... why not add new stress!!

Right after we got back from the Honeymoon, the owner of Huntingtons Learning Center (where Robin works some and my dear friend Ashley work) called to tell me that she really needed someone to work with one of their students. I figured why not! So that is my latest new job! I am not going to be working much but the little extra money will help me with my love to shop!

This past week was fun for me! I got to travel to Columbia, SC with Robin for a golf tournement! He said that I was his "Caddie" but if I really was... I might have been the worst caddie ever! I did clean some clubs but mostly just rode in the cart and talked to him! I was just fun for me since I love being on the golf course. It is so quiet and peaceful! I miss getting to see him play competitively more!

So this week we are tearing up the house even more! We are getting new carpet on Monday and there is just SO MUCH STUFF in this condo!!

This is my last week before I have to go back to work... I am very excited about this year as my classroom has been outfitted with so much technology I don't even know what to do with it! This year will be full of new challanges and new rewards! I can't wait to see how I handle everything that is thrown my way!

Well... I guess thats all for now! Thanks for Reading!

The Last Month

Here are some pictures from the honeymoon... I am still new at figuring out this blogging stuff...

So one of my very best friends Stephanie has inspired me to create a blog for everyone to keep up with our busy lives. So here goes...

Robin and I have been going nonstop since we were married on July 11. We had the most wonderful honeymoon in the Dominican Republic and could not have asked for a better week! We went horseback riding, spent a lot of time on the beach and lots of time eating and laying in the pool!

When we got home my parents and sister met us at the airport and we were so excited to see them! We spent the rest of the night opening presents and talking about the honeymoon!

When we got home to our new home together in Greenville we found that my family had come down on Sunday before they came to get us at the airport and decorated our Condo. They brought lots of decorations and food for us! We are so blessed to have such wonderful families!

We only spent a night in Greenville before heading back to Raleigh to fly to NYC! We spent four days in NYC just hanging out and sightseeing. We got to see the Broadway Show 9 to 5 (which was so good! I even caught Robin laughing a few times!) We also went to a Yankee's game and got to see my cousin Katherine and her husband Tony! They live about 30 minutes outside of the city. It was so fun to see them since we did not get to spend enough time with family at the wedding!

Once we got home from NYC we came back to Greenville to start unpacking our wedding presents....... which is still not finished!!
